American Nuclear Society & Idaho National Lab Highlights
Idaho National Laboratory & American Nuclear Society
The Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference (PBNC) was held October 7-10th in Idaho Falls, ID featuring some of the most prominent nuclear science & engineering organizations. Idaho National Laboratory is home to EBR-1 which is the first operational nuclear energy plant in the world. The American Nuclear Society (ANS) is the premier organization that focuses on improving people’s lives and preserving the planet.

The Demand for Micro Modular Reactors (MMRs) is Growing
Throughout the event, it was clear the growing demand for MMRs are fueled by the need for carbon free and deployable energy. Hadron Energy was excited to collaborate with the industry leaders throughout this event and share our vision of our MMR company. The response was well received, we even were able to form critical partnerships with key industry leaders. Our MMR is a new approach to micro reactor technology and we are thrilled that it is well received by industry leaders. Taking this feedback, our team will implement further add ons to ensure we have a safe and reliable design.
U.S. Senator of Idaho, James Risch Was Particularly Excited About the Prospect of Micro Modular Reactors: “Micro Reactors will Bolster our Department of Defense.” This understanding is critical for government leaders as he pushes for clean energy dependency in the United States.
Hadron Energy is thrilled to be at the forefront of this evolving technology. With ambitious targets to grow the nuclear energy industry by 300%, micro reactors will play a pivotal role in increasing the overall volume of units deployed.
Idaho National Laboratory Signatures & Whiteboard Explanations
On December 20th, 1951 EBR-1 was the first ever nuclear reactor operational in the world. It is based in Idaho Falls, ID and the picture on the left are all the scientists and engineers who performed hand calculations to make the unit operational. The whiteboard on the right depicts a chain reaction and how it works.
